Midnight Mood

Night always fascinated mankind. The various nocturnal experiences, between rest and adventure, threat and temptation, vigil and dream, have found their place in art and music. If night evokes the proximity of death, unconscious, mystical, evil and ghosts, it also brings the hope of a new dawn, a new beginning.

IInspired by these visions of the night, we sought out this dual nature in the music of our favorite composers. We composed this program featuring arrangements of pieces by Bach, Handel or Charpentier, linked by small historically informed solos and improvisations.
