Cello and gambetta all'inglese / Aix-en-Provence

At the end of the 18th century, a number of virtuosos still developed a passion for the viol with, in particular, the rise of the gambetta all'inglese; this strange instrument which has, in addition to six rubbed strings, sympathetic strings which create a "sound halo".
