À propos de l'événement
Meeting with Gaëlle Vitureau, flutist
The flute is one of the oldest instruments; as such, its construction and mechanics have evolved considerably over time. From a simple tube of wood, bone or bamboo, it has been transformed into an instrument with a key system resembling fine jewellery. The production of sound, ‘on the breath’, which requires delicacy and precision, is one of the most fascinating aspects of music. The Baroque and Classical periods were conducive to extensive research into making the instrument louder, more accurate, more balanced and more expressive. Composers of these periods wrote magnificent pieces for this instrument, which continues to fascinate.
